Le Pif Wine は、大陸と文化を超えた旅、そして卓越したワインへの深い情熱の結晶です。
フランスで生まれ育ったウリエル・コスタールは、幼少期からワインへの強い愛着を育みました。彼のキャリアはフランスのレストランやブラッスリーで始まり、ワインとホスピタリティに関する知識を磨きました。その経験を活かし、ニューヨークでは名高いフランス料理レストランやワインショップの経営に携わり、それらの成長と評価向上に貢献しました。さらに、米国最大級のワイン輸入業者の一つで働き、ワインの流通や仕入れに関する貴重な経験を積みました。
長年にわたる業界での経験を経て、彼の情熱は日本へと向かいました。日本に住んで5年が経ち、国内で高まるワインへの関心を肌で感じています。
フランス語で「Le Pif（ル・ピフ）」は「鼻」を意味し、優れた直感や、香りで良いワインを見極める能力を指すカジュアルな表現です。この言葉には、ワインを本能的に理解し、楽しむというLe Pif Wineの哲学が込められています。
Le Pif Wine は、「造り手の個性とテロワールを映し出す本物のワインをお届けする」というシンプルで強い使命を掲げています。サステナブルで個性的なワインを厳選し、愛される定番から新しい発見まで、多彩なセレクションをご提供いたします。

Le Pif Wine is the result of a journey across continents, cultures, and a deep passion for exceptional wines.
Born and raised in France, Uriell Costard developed a strong appreciation for wine from an early age. His career began in France, working in restaurants and brasseries, where he refined his understanding of wine and hospitality. This experience led him to New York, where he managed renowned French restaurants and a wine store, playing a key role in their growth and reputation. He later worked with one of the largest wine importers in the U.S., gaining invaluable experience in wine distribution and sourcing.
After years in the industry, his passion led him to Japan, where he has lived for the past few years. He has witnessed firsthand the growing enthusiasm for wine in the country.
In French, "Le Pif" is a casual term for “the nose”, often used to describe one’s good intuition or the ability to recognize great wine by its aroma. It reflects the core philosophy of Le Pif Wine: to instinctively understand and enjoy great wines.
Le Pif Wine is built on a simple yet strong mission: to source and introduce wines that reflect the authenticity, craftsmanship, and terroir of their makers. With a focus on sustainable and character-driven selections, the shop offers both well-loved classics and exciting new discoveries.
