Overview:
Villa Gemma is the iconic flagship wine of Masciarelli, one of Italy’s most respected family-run wineries. Founded in 1981 by the visionary Gianni Masciarelli, the estate revolutionized winemaking in Abruzzo.

Vinification:

• Hand-harvested from the historic Colle Cave vineyard (planted in 1930)

• Fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel

• Aged for 5–6 years in French oak barriques

• Bottle-aged before release for depth and longevity

Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby color. Aromas of preserved cherry, plum, dried rose, dark chocolate, black pepper, tobacco, and earthy minerality. Full-bodied and complex with velvety tannins and a remarkably long finish. A powerful yet elegant expression of Montepulciano.

• Aged steaks (T-bone, Fiorentina-style)

• Grilled lamb chops or wild game (boar, venison)

• Truffle-infused polenta or mushroom tagliatelle
